G’Day Little Queenslanders’ celebrated in Cairns
The Queensland Government has celebrated Queensland’s youngest residents and their families, with the latest G’day Little Queenslanders event held in Cairns over the weekend.
Held on the iconic Eastern Event Lawn on The Esplanade, the free, family-friendly, event was all about celebrating little Queenslanders with a morning of fun, laughter and new discoveries.
The Queensland Government has been rolling out the welcome mat for little Queenslanders, with the heartwarming free event bringing communities together and making sure parents have access to the must-know government resources and local services.
It is just one of the ways the Queensland Government is delivering a fresh start for Queensland.
Each outdoor event provides a valuable opportunity for families with children aged 0-2 years to connect with local health and family services, enjoy live kids’ entertainment, and take part in engaging, family-friendly activities.
Families who registered to attend also received a certificate on the day to welcome their ‘Little Queenslanders’.
Premier David Crisafulli said it was wonderful to see how much Queensland families value celebrating life’s early milestones together.
“G’day Little Queenslanders is about celebrating our newest Queenslanders and connecting families with the services and supported needed during those early years,” Premier Crisafulli said.
“We want every family, no matter where they live in Queensland, to feel supported and connected.”
The G’day Little Queenslanders series also visited Moreton Bay, Townsville and Redlands Coast, with more events planned across the State in 2026.
