    Right to Information

Right to Information is the Government’s approach to giving the community greater access to the information it holds.  A review in 2009 of previous Freedom of Information legislation found that a new approach was needed and the Government agreed, supporting 139 recommendations and undertaking a series of reforms.

Right to Information makes more information available, provides equal access across all sectors of the community and takes steps to appropriately protect individuals’ privacy.
